ABOUT ME
Tessa spelt backwards is asset; a useful or valuable thing or person.
I've always been interested in people. This culminated in majoring in anthropology and psychology during my university experience. I studied the fundamentals of why we are the way that we are, what makes us different, and what makes us the same.
After university I went into a graduate role a Fusion Graduate Consultancy. Here, I quickly became the go-to gal for anything creative; from designing client presentations to managing the business' marketing strategy.
In late 2022, I decided to book a one-way flight to Paris. I ended up travelling throughout Europe, as well as parts of Africa and Asia for 14 months. I spent four of those months living in Oxford, where I worked at the University and met an array of intelligent, strange, posh, and overall 'normal' people. Living overseas and travelling for so long gave me a love of meeting new people, and opened up my horizons beyond my bubble here in Melbourne.
After returning in January this year, savings depleted and travel-worn, I applied to AWARD School to pivot towards what I have always wanted: a career in creativity. Although the course what at times hard work, it was enjoyably hard. Late nights ideating felt like a hobby rather than work. I'm proud to have completed the course, and even managed to get a piece on the wall (see Ball Blush here)!
Currently, when I'm not at work fine-tuning guitars, you can find me fine-tuning my creativity through my other interests. I love reading, making random Spotify playlists, and creating content for the various social media profiles I manage.
